Racing is the main feature of the open meetings.  Also available to new members is loads of encouragement and friendly advice on rigging and sailing technique (idiosyncratic in a Tinker!) whether they want to race or just potter around.  We all had to start somewhere.  Saturday is usually rounded off with some kind of social event, usually a meal followed by people gathering in the largest available area where, drink in hand, the days events are relived.  Racing continues on the Sunday.
